Hilton Debuts LXR Luxury Brand in India with Bengaluru Opening
The Den Bengaluru, featuring 226 guest rooms, marks LXR Hotels & Resorts' first property in the country, situated in the city's Whitefield area.

LXR Hotels & Resorts Arrives in India
Hilton introduced its luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in India on 14 October 2026 with the launch of The Den Bengaluru, LXR Hotels & Resorts. Located in the Whitefield area of Bengaluru, Karnataka, the property signifies the brand's inaugural presence in the country. Operated by Hilton, The Den Bengaluru is owned by Dan Hospitality India and offers 226 guest rooms.
This expansion highlights Hilton's strategic focus on the Indian market, particularly within the growing luxury travel sector, as stated by the company.
Dining and Wellness Facilities
The new Bengaluru property features a range of amenities designed for both leisure and business travellers. Guests can choose from four distinct on-site dining venues. Layla, a rooftop restaurant, serves Indian- and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, while The Creek provides international options throughout the day.
For lighter fare, The Deli offers specialised coffees and baked goods, and The Cold Press focuses on health-conscious beverages, including smoothies and cold-pressed juices. The hotel also includes dedicated areas for wellness and recreation, aiming to provide a comprehensive stay experience.
Extensive Event Spaces and Curated Programmes
Beyond its guest accommodation and dining, The Den Bengaluru provides over 21,000 square feet of event space. This expansive footprint is distributed across seven individual venues, which include various meeting rooms, a grand ballroom, an auditorium, and an open-air amphitheatre, catering to diverse event requirements.
For its initial rollout, the hotel has also introduced two curated guest programmes: ‘The Pause Program’ for restorative activities and ‘Whitefield Unscripted’ for local cultural explorations, offering unique engagements for visitors.
Hilton's Growth Strategy in India
Zubin Saxena, Hilton South Asia senior vice-president and regional head, affirmed that India remains one of Hilton’s most important growth markets. He noted that the evolving expectations of India’s luxury travellers are creating substantial opportunities for brands that deliver individual and experience-led stays.
Saxena described Bengaluru as a natural choice for this phase of growth, citing its global connectivity, cultural dynamism, and diverse community of travellers. The Den Bengaluru, LXR Hotels & Resorts, adds a new dimension to the range of luxury experiences Hilton can offer across the country, according to Saxena.
Implications for India's Luxury Hospitality Market
The introduction of LXR Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru signifies Hilton's confidence in India's burgeoning luxury travel segment. This move suggests that international hotel groups perceive a sustained demand for high-end, bespoke hospitality options among both domestic and international visitors to major Indian cities.
The emphasis on unique guest programmes and extensive event facilities indicates a focus on capturing both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segments.
Other luxury brands operating in India may need to review their offerings and service customisation to maintain competitiveness in a market that Hilton expects to continue its strong growth trajectory.
