New Property in Nashik, Maharashtra

Indian hospitality group Lemon Tree Hotels inaugurated its first Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels property in Nashik, Maharashtra, on 24 September 2026. This launch signifies the group's initial footprint in the city, broadening its presence within the state. The new establishment features 48 rooms and suites, designed to accommodate both corporate and leisure travellers.

Guests will have access to amenities including a fitness centre, an all-day dining restaurant serving multiple cuisines, and dedicated facilities for events and conferences. Carnation Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, is responsible for operating the property.

Strategic Location and Market Focus

The new Keys Prima hotel is strategically situated, approximately 21 kilometres from Nashik Airport in Ozar, 10 kilometres from Nashik Railway Station, and 1.5 kilometres from the city's central bus station. Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President of Lemon Tree Hotels, noted that Maharashtra remains a crucial market for the company's expansion.

He highlighted Nashik's unique appeal, which combines historical significance, commercial activity, and vineyard tourism, making it an attractive destination for various traveller segments. The property aims to offer a contemporary midscale option for business, leisure, and pilgrimage visitors to the city.

Broader Expansion Plans

Lemon Tree Hotels maintains a significant operational presence across Maharashtra, with 15 hotels currently active in the state. The group also has an additional 16 properties under development, two of which are planned for Nashik. This expansion strategy focuses on deepening its market penetration in key regions with sustained growth potential.

Earlier in September 2026, the company also expanded its portfolio with the opening of Lemon Tree Premier, Jabalpur, in Madhya Pradesh, further demonstrating its ongoing growth across India.

Implications for Travellers and Industry

The introduction of Keys Prima in Nashik reflects a targeted expansion by Indian hotel chains into Tier 2 cities, capitalising on diversified tourism drivers such as business, pilgrimage, and niche interests like vineyard tourism. For travellers, this adds a new midscale accommodation option in Nashik, potentially increasing choice and competitive pricing in the market.

Industry observers will watch how this strategy influences other domestic and international hospitality groups, particularly in India's rapidly growing secondary urban centres, as they seek to cater to both local and inbound Asian travellers exploring varied regional attractions beyond traditional metropolitan hubs.
