Napa Valley Resorts Unveil USD 80 Million Upgrade, Collect Awards
Casa Mani Resort completed an USD 80 million transformation, as Solage detailed a 2021 multi-million-dollar renovation, with Alila and Bardessono collecting 2026 industry accolades.

Napa Valley's Luxury Hotel Enhancements
Napa Valley, California, a globally recognised wine region with over 400 wineries, continues to see significant investment in its luxury accommodation sector. Recent developments include an USD 80 million transformation at Casa Mani Resort and a multi-million-dollar renovation completed in 2021 at Solage, Auberge Collection.
These upgrades, alongside ongoing industry recognition for properties like Alila Napa Valley and Bardessono Hotel and Spa, aim to maintain the region's appeal to discerning travellers seeking premium wine country experiences.
The area has long been a favoured destination for honeymooners, group getaways, and families, with a diverse selection of boutique hotels and luxury resorts catering to various visitor segments.
Key Renovations and Property Details
The Casa Mani Resort, formerly an Embassy Suites, has undergone a complete USD 80 million transformation, resulting in a 203-room luxury property near downtown Napa. This extensive overhaul introduces a modern design centred around an outdoor pool and a 73-foot-long lawn.
Separately, Solage, Auberge Collection, located near Calistoga, completed a major multi-million-dollar renovation in 2021. This project added 11 new studios and introduced Picobar, a Mexican-inspired poolside eatery.
The resort features 100 rooms, ranging from 515-square-foot studios to two-bedroom suites, and offers complimentary fitness classes and excursions such as hot-air balloon rides.
Industry Accolades for Leading Resorts
Beyond renovations, several Napa Valley properties have garnered recent industry awards. Alila Napa Valley, housed partly in a 1905 building, features 64 guestrooms and four suites designed by Yabu Pushelberg. It has received Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards for 2026, among other years.
Located adjacent to Beringer Vineyards, the hotel offers two on-site restaurants and unique activities like guided falconry sessions. Similarly, Bardessono Hotel and Spa, a 65-room eco-luxe hotel in Yountville, also earned a Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Award for 2026.
This LEED Platinum-certified property was constructed using salvaged Tufa stone and operates with a 200-kilowatt solar energy system.
Outlook for Asia's Luxury Travel Market
The continued investment in Napa Valley's luxury hotel sector, including the USD 80 million transformation at Casa Mani Resort, positions the region to attract a larger share of the outbound luxury travel market from Asia. With increasing demand for high-end travel from markets like Singapore, Hong Kong, and South Korea, these enhanced offerings present a compelling proposition.
Major travel agencies in key Asian hubs such as Tokyo and Seoul may update their California itineraries for 2027 to include these newly upgraded or recognised properties, catering to a growing segment of affluent travellers seeking premium wine country experiences and exclusive resort amenities in North America.
