Second Consecutive TTG Travel Award

The Grand Ho Tram secured the "Best Integrated Resort" title at the TTG Travel Awards 2026, marking its second consecutive win in this prestigious category. The award, established in 1989, acknowledges exceptional organisations and individuals in the tourism and hospitality sector, with winners determined by votes from TTG Asia readers.

This achievement follows the resort becoming the first Vietnamese property to receive this recognition in 2025, according to The Grand Ho Tram. This sustained acknowledgement from regional travel partners highlights the resort's consistent service quality and strengthens its standing on the international tourism map.

Major Expansion with Fourth Hotel Opening

The resort complex is preparing for significant expansion with the scheduled opening of Ixora Grand Ho Tram by Fusion in Q4 2026. This addition will be the fourth hotel within the property, joining the existing InterContinental Grand Ho Tram, Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach, and Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion.

With the new hotel, the total number of rooms and villas across the entire resort will exceed 1,800, an increase from the current 1,250 available rooms, suites, and villas. This expansion will also bring the total number of restaurants and bars to 19, aiming to broaden the high-end coastal experience ecosystem at the Ho Tram destination.

Current Offerings and New Activities

Currently, The Grand Ho Tram is located approximately two hours from Ho Chi Minh City and comprises over 1,250 rooms, suites, and villas, spread along a 2.2 km beach. Beyond accommodation, the complex features The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, a championship links golf course designed by Greg Norman.

Timothy Tan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at The Grand Ho Tram, stated that the resort has also expanded its service ecosystem to include casino operations, which have been available for nearly a year to eligible Vietnamese citizens under a government pilot programme. The resort also maintains a schedule of entertainment events with famous artists.

Implications for Asian Travellers and Industry

This continued recognition and expansion positions Ho Tram as a growing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and leisure destination in Southeast Asia. For travellers, the launch of Ixora Grand Ho Tram by Fusion in Q4 2026 provides increased premium accommodation choices and diverse dining options, enhancing the overall visitor offerings in the region.

The expansion also suggests increased competition within Vietnam's luxury resort market, potentially driving further investment and service improvements across similar properties in coastal areas like Phu Quoc or Da Nang, as operators aim to attract a broader international and domestic clientele.
