Contour Airlines announced on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, plans to expand its operational footprint within the eastern Caribbean by introducing several new air services this autumn. The independent regional carrier will establish direct connections between St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands and St. Maarten, alongside a service linking Dominica with Trinidad and Tobago. Direct Services and Frequencies
Scheduled to begin on October 5, 2026, flights between St. Thomas’s Cyril E. King Airport and St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport will operate twice weekly, every Monday and Friday. On the same date, services connecting Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport and Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, Trinidad, will also commence. Flights from Dominica to Trinidad are set for Mondays and Thursdays, with return services from Trinidad to Dominica scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays, providing regular direct links.
New One-Stop Connections and Market Impact
Beyond direct routes, Contour Airlines will also launch one-stop connections. These include services between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad, with flights from Trinidad to San Juan operating on Tuesdays and the return leg on Thursdays. Additionally, one-stop flights will connect Trinidad and St. Thomas, with services from Trinidad to St. Thomas on Fridays and return flights on Mondays. Contour Airlines states these new routes will improve connectivity across the eastern Caribbean, broaden access for tourists, and build capacity for business travel, providing more options for regional movement from October.
