The six-hour and 25-minute flight is described by The Points Guy, in a report dated July 23, 2026, as a "reverse red-eye" due to its westbound overnight trajectory and very early morning arrival, which contrasts with typical eastbound red-eye services.

Hawaiian Airlines operates a comparable service, departing at 1:55 a.m. and arriving in Honolulu around 5:15 a.m. local time, utilising a twin-aisle Airbus A330, The Points Guy noted. Internationally, Iberia offers a long-haul red-eye from Madrid, Spain, departing at 12:55 a.m. and reaching Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) at 5:30 a.m. local time after an almost 12-hour flight. These examples demonstrate a market for very early morning arrivals, despite potential challenges for passengers.
