Exclusive Dining Event in Dubai

Kinara by Vikas Khanna, located at JA Lake View Hotel in Dubai, will host its "Forgotten Flavours Chapter III: Coast to Coast" dining event on 21 November. Michelin-acclaimed Chef Vikas Khanna will personally present this exclusive, one-night-only culinary presentation.

The event is designed for an intimate gathering, accommodating only 60 guests, offering an exploration of India's diverse eastern and western coastal culinary traditions. This third instalment of the Forgotten Flavours series aims to blend Indian fine dining with carefully selected wines and an innovative integration of fragrance.

A Culinary Voyage Across India's Coasts

The "Coast to Coast" menu, curated by Chef Vikas Khanna alongside Chef Ashish Kumar, draws inspiration from the distinct ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural influences that define India's maritime heritage. Guests will embark on a progression of regional flavours, textures, and techniques.

Highlights include Bharuchi Spiced Paneer, Charred Bharli Vangi, and a choice of mushroom or prawn Balchão. The main courses feature a Kerala Vegetable Stew with mini uthappam, followed by either Cauliflower Steak Chettinad or Lobster Chettinad, served with neer dosa and ragi roti. The meal concludes with Nolen Gur Baked Rasogulla, a contemporary take on a traditional dessert.

Sensory Pairings with Wine and Fragrance

Complementing the culinary offerings, the evening features a considered selection of wines from Torres, chosen to enhance each course's distinct flavours. Offerings include Viña Esmeralda 2025 with the paneer, Fransola 2022 for the aubergine and Balchão, and Purgatori 2022 with the Kerala stew.

Celeste Reserva 2020 will accompany the Chettinad dishes, while Floralis Moscatel provides a sweet finish with the dessert. Additionally, Dubai-based luxury fragrance house Kala Huis contributes to the sensory narrative, presenting a fragrance-inspired welcome cocktail and an introduction to their "After the Gesture" collection, adding another dimension to the storytelling.

Booking and Participation Details

The "Coast to Coast" event is scheduled for a single seating starting at 7:00pm on 21 November. Participation in this exclusive dining event is priced at AED 900 per person. This cost covers the specially curated multi-course menu, the expert wine pairings from Torres, and a unique welcome cocktail developed in collaboration with Kala Huis.

Given the limited capacity of 60 guests, early booking is advisable for those interested in attending this unique culinary and sensory presentation.

Dubai's Growing Fine Dining Appeal

This exclusive event at Kinara by Vikas Khanna reinforces Dubai's position as a prominent destination for luxury dining and innovative culinary experiences within Asia. The collaboration between a Michelin-acclaimed Indian chef, a Spanish winery, and a Dubai-born fragrance house showcases a trend towards multi-sensory and culturally rich gastronomic offerings.

For discerning travellers and residents across Asia, such events provide a compelling reason to visit Dubai, further enhancing the city's appeal in the competitive global hospitality market and setting a high standard for unique, themed dining.
