Conrad Nagoya Debuts in Japan's Third-Largest City

Conrad Nagoya, a Hilton Hotels & Resorts luxury brand, commenced operations in Japan's third-largest city, Nagoya, on 20 August 2026. The new property occupies the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, situated within the city's central business and shopping district. This strategic location places guests at the heart of commercial activity and retail opportunities.

The hotel comprises 170 guestrooms, including 29 suites, each spanning over 50 square metres. Guests have access to six distinct restaurants and bars, an indoor swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre. For corporate and social gatherings, the hotel provides extensive meeting and event spaces, featuring a 342-square-metre Grand Ballroom.

Direct connectivity to Sakae Station facilitates urban exploration, with Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine located nearby. The hotel also serves as a convenient starting point for trips to central Japan destinations such as Ise and Takayama.

Fairmont Enters Thailand with Bangkok Sukhumvit Property

Accor's Fairmont brand has established its first property in Thailand, the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, adding to Bangkok's luxury hotel market. Located in the prominent Sukhumvit district, the hotel features 474 guestrooms and suites. Dining options include seven distinct venues, alongside wellness facilities such as the Fairmont Spa and a fitness centre.

The property also dedicates over 2,000 square metres across three floors to meeting and event spaces. Recognising diverse traveller needs, the hotel provides family-friendly accommodation and rooms that welcome pets.

Its Sukhumvit location ensures convenient access to the district’s extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment areas, placing guests within one of Bangkok's busiest neighbourhoods. This opening strengthens the luxury hospitality offering in a high-demand urban area.

Marriott and Radisson Expand in India and Thailand

Courtyard by Marriott has opened its first hotel in Ghaziabad, India, located in the city's Rajnagar Extension commercial and residential district. The Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad provides 106 guestrooms and suites. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre.

The hotel also offers over 740 square metres of meeting and event space. It is approximately one hour from Indira Gandhi International Airport and 20 minutes from Ghaziabad Railway Station, offering accessibility for travellers. Nearby points of interest include Akshardham Temple, India Expo Mart, and shopping districts within East Delhi.

This expansion marks Marriott's deeper penetration into India's growing urban centres, catering to both business and leisure visitors.

Radisson Refurbishes Bangkok Presence in Ploen Chit

In Bangkok, the Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok has commenced operations following an extensive refurbishment of the former Chateau de Bangkok property. Situated in the city's Ploen Chit district, the hotel offers 178 guestrooms and suites, including long-stay accommodation options equipped with kitchenettes.

Guests can dine at three venues and use an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa. The hotel also features three meeting and event spaces, with the largest capable of accommodating approximately 250 guests. Its location, 400 metres from Ploenchit BTS station, provides direct access to Bangkok's business districts, shopping areas, and the diplomatic quarter.

Both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports are reachable within a 40-minute drive, underscoring its convenience for international and domestic travellers.

These hotel openings demonstrate a sustained commitment by global hospitality brands to expand their presence across key Asian markets. For travellers, the launches of Conrad Nagoya and Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit introduce new luxury options in significant urban centres, providing enhanced amenities and prime locations for both business and leisure visits.
