Conrad 1/3/5 Programme Rolls Out Regionally

Conrad Hotels & Resorts has rolled out its new Conrad 1/3/5 programme throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This initiative provides guests with curated one-, three-, and five-hour activity options, concentrating on local culture, culinary traditions, wellness, and various local pursuits.

While the framework is available globally, individual properties adapt the programme to their specific destinations, with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific portfolio. Guests can access these tailored itineraries through hotel concierge desks or via individual property websites, allowing them to select activities based on the time available during their stay. Each itinerary is developed by the respective property’s concierge team.

One-Hour Local Immersion Options

For travellers with limited time, the programme includes several one-hour activities across the region. At Conrad Koh Samui, guests can take a farm tour, while Conrad Singapore Orchard offers Negroni tasting and cheese infusion workshops. Conrad Pune provides a sound bath session, and Conrad Hong Kong features an egg puff-making activity.

These shorter options are designed to offer a quick yet authentic glimpse into the local character of each destination, allowing guests to engage with regional customs and flavours without committing extensive time.

Three-Hour Cultural and Culinary Pursuits

The three-hour activities delve deeper into local culture. Conrad Bali presents a Full Moon Celebration and a Nawa Sanga Yantra Art Therapy session. Guests at Conrad Tokyo can visit Osaka’s Ura-Tenma dining district or participate in an ukiyo-e masterclass. In China, Conrad Beijing arranges visits to the Panjiayuan Market and a Peking duck dining experience.

These mid-length programmes provide a more comprehensive engagement with the destination's heritage and gastronomic scene, suitable for guests looking for a half-day exploration.

Five-Hour Conservation and Exploration

Longer, five-hour programmes offer extensive exploration. Conrad Maldives offers a whale shark and coral conservation activity, focusing on marine ecology. In South Korea, Conrad Seoul organises a visit to Bukhansan National Park combined with a palace tour. Conrad Nagoya allows guests to learn about the 400-year-old Arimatsu Shibori tie-dyeing tradition.

Furthermore, Conrad Xiamen provides itineraries covering Kulangsu Island or the city’s bustling markets and food traditions. These extended activities cater to guests seeking immersive, in-depth engagement with local environments, history, and craftsmanship.

Implications for Asian Travellers and Hospitality

This initiative by Conrad Hotels & Resorts provides a structured framework for travellers in Asia-Pacific to maximise their leisure time with authentic local activities, ranging from cultural workshops to nature conservation.

For the regional hospitality sector, the Conrad 1/3/5 programme demonstrates a strategic approach to enhancing guest value through bespoke, time-efficient local engagement.

This model could influence other luxury hotel groups across Asia to develop similar curated offerings, potentially driving increased demand for properties that integrate local culture directly into their guest programmes. It addresses a growing preference among discerning travellers for personalised, culturally rich stays over generic tourist activities.
