Hoteles Elba Opens €100m Fuerteventura Resort in November
The Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa, a €100 million investment, will feature 24 pools and dedicated family and adult-only areas on Spain's Canary Islands, opening 1 November 2026.

New Resort Launch and Investment Details
Hoteles Elba is set to open its new Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, on 1 November 2026. This 4-star property, located in the north of the island, represents an investment of approximately €100 million, with €28.1 million sourced from public funding provided by the Spanish state.
The resort features 478 rooms and a total of 24 pools, offering both all-inclusive and half-board options. Construction of the resort, spanning a 66,352 m² site, was led by Herculina Las Dunas, a subsidiary of the Anjoca group, which is the parent company of Elba hotels. This new development is anticipated to create around 400 direct employment opportunities.
Guest Amenities and Room Offerings
The Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa is designed to cater to diverse guest preferences, providing distinct zones for families and adults. Families can utilise Pepe's Aqua Land, a dedicated splash park covering over 4,000 m² with pools and water slides, alongside a kids' club for children aged 4 to 12.
For guests over 16 seeking tranquility, the Elba Premium Level area offers an exclusive pool, solarium, and restaurant. The resort's 478 rooms are spread across four three-storey buildings, with sizes ranging from 25 m² double rooms to 56 m² Double Family Superior rooms.
Among these are 15 junior suites, each 41 m² and featuring a private pool, and 52 swim-up rooms providing direct access to a pool. The resort's 24 pools are heated during the winter months.
Strategic Location and Group Presence
Situated in a peaceful residential area of Corralejo, the resort is approximately 900 metres from the town centre and two kilometres from the protected dunes of the natural park. It lies 1.5 kilometres from the nearest beach.
This marks Hoteles Elba's first property in northern Fuerteventura; the group currently operates six other hotels on the island, primarily concentrated around Caleta de Fuste on the east coast. Hoteles Elba manages a portfolio of fifteen properties in total.
While an initial opening date of 1 December was announced, the launch for Elba Corralejo Resort & Spa was brought forward by a month to 1 November 2026. The adult pool and The Bow restaurant are slated to open on 1 December 2026.
Implications for Global Hospitality
The launch of a significant resort such as Elba Corralejo, with its substantial investment and dual-zone approach for families and adults, illustrates a trend in global hospitality towards diversified leisure offerings. This model, focusing on comprehensive facilities and varied guest experiences, resonates across different markets, including Asia.
For instance, major Asian hotel groups are increasingly investing in large-scale integrated resorts within popular tourist destinations, often incorporating similar dedicated family entertainment zones and premium adult-only areas to attract a broad demographic.
This development in Fuerteventura provides a benchmark for how operators are adapting their resort concepts to meet evolving traveller demands for tailored holiday experiences, a strategy that Asian hospitality providers continue to refine in their own regional expansions.
