Avani+ Hanoi Set for 2028 Launch

Trading Construction Works Organization has finalised a management agreement with Minor Hotels for the upcoming Avani+ Hanoi, a 310-room property in Vietnam's capital. Scheduled to open in 2028, the hotel will be situated in Hanoi's Bach Mai Ward. This marks Minor Hotels' initial venture into the city, expanding its presence in Vietnam's growing hospitality market.

The development is part of a larger mixed-use precinct, which will also feature Hinode City, a new lifestyle mall, alongside 1,099 residential and serviced apartments.

Strategic Location and Facilities

The Avani+ Hanoi is located at the intersection of Minh Khai and Kim Nguu Street, offering convenient access to the city's Old Quarter, which is a 10-minute drive away. Minor Hotels describes the property as a premium lifestyle hotel, designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

Guests will have access to an indoor swimming pool with a deck, a fitness centre, and a selection of dining options, including all-day dining and specialty restaurants. The hotel also includes meeting and function spaces for events and conferences.

Minor Hotels' Expanding Vietnam Portfolio

While Avani+ Hanoi represents Minor Hotels' first property in the capital, it extends the group's footprint across Vietnam. The hospitality group currently operates four other properties in the country under its Anantara and Avani brands. These include Anantara Hoi An Resort, Anantara Mui Ne Resort, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, and Avani Quy Nhon Resort.

Additionally, Minor Hotels manages The Vietage by Anantara, a luxury train service, further diversifying its offerings within Vietnam's travel sector.

Implications for Hanoi's Hospitality Market

The introduction of Avani+ Hanoi in 2028 will add significant premium accommodation capacity to the Vietnamese capital, intensifying competition within its hotel sector. Travellers to Hanoi will gain another upscale option, particularly within the developing Bach Mai Ward, which benefits from improved transport links.

This expansion by Minor Hotels shows continued investor confidence in Vietnam's tourism prospects, potentially spurring further mixed-use developments and hotel investments in key urban centres across the country over the next two years.
