Minor Hotels Confirms Hanoi Expansion

Minor Hotels has entered a management agreement with Trading Construction Works Organization for the development of Avani+ Hanoi, a 310-key hotel scheduled to open in 2028. This new-build property will be situated in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city, specifically within the Bach Mai Ward.

The Avani+ Hanoi represents a significant step for Minor Hotels, as it will be the group's inaugural property within the capital, expanding its footprint in the Vietnamese hospitality market.

Integrated into Major Mixed-Use Precinct

The forthcoming Avani+ Hanoi will form an integral part of a larger mixed-use precinct, which includes Hinode City, a new lifestyle mall, alongside 1,099 residential and serviced apartments. Located at the intersection of Minh Khai and Kim Nguu Street, the development benefits from its position within a busy neighbourhood.

Travellers will find convenient transportation links, with the city’s historic Old Quarter accessible within a 10-minute drive, according to details provided by Trading Construction Works Organization.

Growing Presence in Vietnam

The signing of Avani+ Hanoi continues Minor Hotels' strategic growth across Vietnam. The hospitality group currently operates four other properties in the country under its Anantara and Avani brands: Anantara Hoi An Resort, Anantara Mui Ne Resort, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, and Avani Quy Nhon Resort.

Additionally, Minor Hotels operates The Vietage by Anantara, a luxury train service. The Avani+ Hanoi is being developed as a premium lifestyle hotel, offering facilities such as an indoor swimming pool with a deck, a fitness centre, all-day dining and specialty restaurants, as well as meeting and function spaces.

Implications for Hanoi's Hospitality Sector

The introduction of Avani+ Hanoi in 2028 will add a substantial number of premium rooms to Hanoi’s lodging inventory, increasing competition and choice for both business and leisure travellers. This development by Minor Hotels and Trading Construction Works Organization shows continued confidence in Vietnam's capital as a growing tourism and business destination.

For operators in Hanoi, the entry of a new international brand property will likely drive further investment in services and infrastructure, as the city prepares for increased visitor numbers and broader regional connectivity.
