PM Hotel Group Expands in Pacific Northwest

PM Hotel Group, based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, has significantly expanded its presence in the Portland, Oregon market by adding three new hotels to its management portfolio. This move, announced by the company on Thursday, 15 October 2026, brings their total number of managed properties in the metro area from four to seven.

The new additions include two Hilton-branded establishments: the 73-room Hampton Inn Sherwood Portland and the 152-room Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard. Additionally, PM Hotel Group will manage the new-build, 115-room Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro, which is currently under development.

Paul Sacco, Chief Growth and Development Officer at PM Hotel Group, stated that this expansion reflects a long-term commitment to the Pacific Northwest and the broader West Coast market, showcasing the group's ability to operate across various segments nationally.

Hotel Equities Makes Three Key Appointments

Hospitality operator and developer Hotel Equities has announced three significant leadership appointments, according to a news release shared by the company. Olya Brase has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 20 years of finance experience, including a recent finance transformation at Highgate.

In her new role, Brase is tasked with enhancing financial visibility and governance, advancing the company’s finance technology, and developing a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1 programme.

Daniel Ben-Efraim joins as Senior Vice President of Sales, focusing on destination and lifestyle hotels within Hotel Equities’ Destination Collection and Springboard Hospitality divisions. He previously served as Vice President of Sales at EOS Hospitality.

Jenny Moore has been named Vice President of Revenue Management for lifestyle hotels, leading strategy across Springboard Hospitality and aiming to optimise distribution and drive top-line performance, having previously led revenue and distribution strategy for Noble House Hotels & Resorts.

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group Names CMO

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group has appointed Catherine Woods as its Chief Marketing Officer, the company announced in a news release on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. Woods will oversee marketing initiatives across the group's diverse portfolio, which includes restaurants, hotels, venues, and membership clubs.

Her responsibilities will involve strengthening the individual brands under The Indigo Road umbrella while simultaneously building greater awareness and equity for the group itself. Woods will report directly to Steve Palmer, the company’s founder and chief visionary officer.

She brings over 16 years of corporate marketing experience to this position, having previously held marketing leadership roles with Belmond, part of LVMH, and most recently serving as Vice President of Marketing for Beemok Hospitality Collection.

Founded in 2009 in Charleston, South Carolina, The Indigo Road Hospitality Group manages hospitality concepts, including award-winning restaurants and boutique hotels across the United States.

Implications for Global Hospitality and Asian Markets

These developments in the United States hospitality sector reflect a continued focus on strategic growth and specialised leadership within hotel management groups. The expansion of PM Hotel Group’s portfolio, particularly with a mix of established brands like Hilton and newer concepts like Caption by Hyatt, shows a strategy of diversification and regional concentration.

Similarly, the appointments at Hotel Equities and The Indigo Road Hospitality Group underscore the importance of specialised expertise in finance, sales, revenue management, and marketing to drive performance and brand equity.

For Asian markets, these trends suggest that hotel operators and owners may increasingly prioritise targeted regional expansion strategies and invest in robust leadership structures to navigate competitive landscapes.

While the immediate impact on Asian travellers or operators is indirect, the emphasis on defined market segments and strong internal capabilities offers a comparative framework for growth and operational excellence across the global hospitality industry.
