Rove: Up To 50% Bonus on JAL, AF-KLM, Qatar Airways Transfers
Travellers can convert Rove miles to Japan Airlines, Air France KLM, and Qatar Airways with enhanced bonuses, enabling business class awards to Japan from 36,700 Rove miles one-way.

Rove Unveils October Transfer Bonuses
Rove, a loyalty programme that allows members to earn transferable miles from various travel and lifestyle activities, has announced enhanced bonuses for converting Rove miles to three major airline partners throughout October 2026.
Travellers can receive up to 50% more miles when transferring to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, Air France KLM Flying Blue, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. The offers commenced on 1 October 2026, with varying deadlines for each airline programme. Transfers to Japan Airlines must be completed by 11:59 p.m.
U.S. Eastern time on 31 October, while Air France KLM transfers conclude at 6:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern on the same date. Qatar Airways transfers have an earlier deadline of 4:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern on 31 October. Rove states a minimum transfer of 2,000 miles applies to these conversions.
Japan Airlines Mileage Bank Benefits
The most significant bonus, a 50% increase, applies to transfers to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank. This means 10,000 Rove miles convert into 15,000 JAL miles, compared to the usual 1:1 ratio.
This bonus makes premium travel to Asia more accessible, with Japan Airlines business class awards from the continental U.S. to Japan starting at 36,700 Rove miles for a one-way flight, plus applicable taxes and fees. Other notable redemptions include Emirates business class between New York JFK and Milan, available for 56,700 Rove miles for a roundtrip.
Japan Airlines Mileage Bank miles typically expire after 36 months from the earning month, and earning additional miles does not extend this validity. Rove advises that transfers to Japan Airlines are processed daily at 6 p.m. Japan time.
Air France KLM and Qatar Airways Programmes
Air France KLM Flying Blue transfers receive a 40% bonus, converting 10,000 Rove miles into 14,000 Flying Blue miles. This programme is recognised for its utility in reaching Europe, with examples such as short Delta economy flights starting from 3,600 Rove miles, or U.S.–Europe economy flights from 17,900 Rove miles, plus taxes and carrier surcharges.
Flying Blue introduced new award categories—Light, Standard, and Flex—on 8 September, affecting benefits like checked baggage and lounge access. For Qatar Airways Privilege Club, the bonus varies: 15%, 25%, or 35%, depending on the size of the transfer. Qatar Airways Avios can also be moved to other Avios-based loyalty programmes, offering additional flexibility for members.
Implications for Asian Travellers
These transfer bonuses present a timely opportunity for travellers, particularly those in Asia or planning trips to and from the region. The 50% bonus for Japan Airlines Mileage Bank significantly lowers the mileage cost for business class travel to Japan, a key destination for both leisure and business.
This makes premium cabin travel more attainable for those with Rove miles, allowing for more comfortable long-haul flights connecting Asia with North America and Europe. For Asian travellers looking to reach Europe, the Air France KLM Flying Blue bonus provides a valuable pathway, especially when combined with other points programmes.
Industry professionals will observe how these promotions influence redemption patterns and loyalty programme engagement in the competitive Asian travel market.
