Year-Round Singapore Deployment Confirmed
Royal Caribbean has announced an extended deployment for its vessel, Navigator of the Seas. The ship will now remain homeported in Singapore through October 2027. This decision transforms its previous six-month seasonal schedule into a year-round operation. From October 2026, Navigator of the Seas will consistently sail from the city-state.
This move expands cruise options for travellers departing from Singapore. Royal Caribbean stated this builds upon the ship's initial Asia season. It also reflects increasing demand for fly-cruise holidays from the region. The extension reinforces Singapore's standing as a pivotal cruise hub in Asia. Bookings for these extended Singapore voyages commence on 19 August this year.
Diverse Itineraries Across Southeast Asia
The extended deployment includes a range of cruise durations and destinations. Navigator of the Seas will offer two- to five-night itineraries. These voyages will visit destinations across Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Specific short cruises are planned for Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia. Phuket in Thailand also features on the itinerary list.
Additionally, a longer 12-night repositioning voyage is available. This particular sailing will connect Tokyo to Singapore. These diverse options cater to different travel preferences. Travellers can choose between short escapes and longer regional explorations. Royal Caribbean aims to meet varied consumer interest with these offerings.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) acknowledged Royal Caribbean's decision. Chitra Rajesh Kumar, STB's director for cruise, commented on the extension. She noted the change from seasonal to year-round homeporting. This action demonstrates Royal Caribbean's continued confidence in Singapore. The city-state is recognised as a leading cruise hub in Asia.
Ben Bouldin, Royal Caribbean's president for Greater China and managing director Asia, also spoke. He highlighted the expanded opportunities for travellers. Guests can now enjoy a full year of voyages. These departures originate from one of Asia's most convenient cruise gateways. Broader Asia-Pacific Cruise Programme for 2027-2028
Royal Caribbean also outlined its wider Asia-Pacific deployment for the 2027-2028 season. Voyager of the Seas will operate from multiple hubs between January and April 2027. These include Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. This vessel will introduce new itineraries across the region. Some cruises are specifically timed to align with Japan's cherry blossom season.
Furthermore, Ovation of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas will join the Voyager of the Seas. These ships will participate in Royal Caribbean's largest Australian summer programme to date.
