Singapore Tourism Board Partners TransNusa to Boost Indonesian Visitor Arrivals
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has initiated its first strategic partnership with Indonesian airline TransNusa. This collaboration aims to enhance air links and increase visitor numbers from Indonesia by leveraging TransNusa's domestic network, including hubs in Jakarta, Bali, and Manado, to reach travellers beyond major cities.

New Partnership to Strengthen Air Connectivity
On 24 July 2026, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) confirmed its inaugural strategic partnership with Indonesian carrier TransNusa, according to a report by TTG Asia. The collaboration seeks to strengthen air connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore and increase visitor traffic from Indonesia. This initiative will utilise TransNusa's expanding domestic network and operational centres in Jakarta, Bali (Denpasar), and Manado to attract travellers from beyond Indonesia's primary metropolitan gateways. TransNusa presently operates three daily flights between Jakarta and Singapore, two daily services from Denpasar, and maintains an extensive network across eastern Indonesia.
Promotional Fares and Fly-Cruise Packages
The one-year partnership focuses on jointly promoting fares and fly-cruise packages, developed in conjunction with StarCruises. These packages combine flights with a short stay in Singapore before passengers embark on a regional cruise. Speaking at the signing ceremony in Jakarta, Terrence Voon, STB's executive director for Southeast Asia, stated that TransNusa's growing presence made it a logical partner. He noted that the airline's increasing flights and frequencies from both Jakarta and Denpasar over the past year reflect a strong and growing demand for visits to Singapore among Indonesian travellers.
Diversifying Visitor Origins
The initiative aims to make travel more accessible and introduce new activities, particularly for those originating from regions beyond Jakarta. To drive regional traffic, TransNusa plans to connect secondary cities through its main hubs before onward travel to Singapore. Bernard Francis, Aviation Group CEO of TransNusa, indicated the airline's ambition to build more than a direct point-to-point market. By leveraging its network across eastern Indonesia, including destinations such as Waingapu, Wakatobi, Lombok, and Bima, TransNusa intends to use its hubs as gateways to connect travellers from across the region to Singapore. This strategy seeks to diversify the origin points of Indonesian visitors, driving growth from previously less accessible areas.
