The Lind Hotels, a Filipino hospitality group, plans to open a new resort in Coron, Palawan, in 2027. This development shows the brand's expansion within the archipelago's key tourism areas. The property, located amidst turquoise waters and limestone cliffs, will comprise 91 rooms and villas.
Each private villa will include a dipping pool and a dedicated Villa Host, aiming to provide a high level of privacy and comfort for guests. Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels, stated that the objective is to create a resort that complements its natural setting rather than competing with it.
He added that the group intends for guests to engage with Coron's natural beauty, authentic character, and adventure activities, all while receiving the hospitality and service associated with The Lind Hotels brand. The project reflects a strategic move to capitalise on Palawan's growing appeal.
Culinary and Wellness Amenities
The Lind Coron will position itself as a culinary destination, featuring two distinct dining venues. Yím, the resort's signature restaurant, will serve modern Thai cuisine. Crust, located adjacent to the infinity pool, will offer Mediterranean flavours alongside a selection of locally crafted beverages.
Beyond dining, the resort will incorporate The Spa Wellness Coron, which is described as the Philippines' first spa brand to achieve Superbrand status. This addition underscores a focus on guest well-being. For water-based activities, the property will house its own dive centre, operated by one of the Philippines' pioneering diving companies.
These facilities aim to provide a comprehensive stay, combining leisure, relaxation, and activity within the resort's premises.
Event and Meeting Spaces
The resort's design incorporates both indoor and outdoor venues, suitable for various celebrations, events, and meetings, capitalising on the natural surroundings. The Gallery, an indoor facility, can accommodate up to 200 guests and provides panoramic sea views. For outdoor gatherings, The Cove offers an alternative setting.
Additionally, the Roof Deck, situated at the highest point of the resort, will provide 360-degree vistas of the sea, mountains, and local flora. This elevated space is intended for occasions such as wedding ceremonies, proposals, and other special events, offering a scenic backdrop.
The inclusion of diverse event spaces broadens the resort's appeal beyond leisure travellers to include corporate and social functions.
