An unauthorised drone was observed operating above Runway 26 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Monday evening, August 10, 2026. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident. Air traffic control continued to manage incoming aircraft, clearing a Learjet for landing on Runway 19 during the event.

A police helicopter, identified by its call sign Metro 4, tracked the unmanned aerial vehicle. Police confirmed the drone was flying directly over the runway. Officers subsequently followed the device away from the active runway environment. They successfully located its operator after the drone landed, marking the precise location.
