New Da Nang–Singapore Service

Vietnam Airlines will introduce a new direct daily flight service connecting Da Nang with Singapore starting 17 November 2026, the carrier announced. This addition will bring Vietnam Airlines' total weekly round-trip flights between Vietnam and Singapore to 42. The Da Nang–Singapore route will operate using Airbus A321 aircraft.

Flights from Da Nang are scheduled to depart at 3:00 PM, while return flights from Singapore will leave at 7:45 PM local time. Currently, Vietnam Airlines maintains 14 weekly round-trip flights between Hanoi and Singapore, alongside 21 weekly services linking Ho Chi Minh City with Singapore. This expansion strengthens direct air links from Central Vietnam to a key Southeast Asian hub.

Launch Promotions and Member Benefits

To mark the new route, Vietnam Airlines is offering special introductory fares for economy class round-trip tickets from VND 5,266,000, inclusive of taxes and fees, though these are not valid during peak travel periods. These promotional tickets are available for purchase until 31 December 2026, for flights scheduled between 17 November 2026 and 31 May 2027.

Passengers buying Standard Economy and Flexible Economy tickets within the first month of operation, for travel until 31 December 2026, will also receive an extra 23 kg checked baggage allowance, increasing their total free allowance to two 23 kg bags.

Additionally, Golden Lotus members flying economy or business class on this route can earn double reward miles, with triple miles for Family Account members travelling together. This mileage offer applies to tickets issued within one month of the sale date for flights departing before 17 December 2026.

Broader Network Development

This new route forms part of Vietnam Airlines' strategic international network expansion for 2026. Earlier this year, the national carrier announced new services to Amsterdam, Colombo, and Phuket. Further additions include the Hanoi–Ahmedabad route, scheduled to commence on 3 November, and the Hanoi–Hangzhou service, launching on 22 November.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, stated that Da Nang holds distinct appeal and acts as a gateway for travellers to explore Central Vietnam's cultural and heritage sites.

He expressed anticipation that the direct flight will enhance convenience for travel between Singapore and the region, encouraging more visitors to choose Central Vietnam as part of their trips to Vietnam.

Market Growth and Travel Impact

Singapore represents a significant international tourist market for Vietnam within Southeast Asia. Data for the first nine months of 2026 indicates a 29.8% rise in tourist arrivals from Singapore to Vietnam compared to the same period last year.

Da Nang, known for its natural attractions such as Son Tra Peninsula and Marble Mountains, alongside its beaches and resorts, is a particularly attractive destination for Singaporean visitors. Its convenient connections to Hoi An Ancient Town and Hue Imperial City add to its appeal.

The new direct service between Da Nang and Singapore, a major regional tourism and trade hub, provides expanded options for both leisure and business travellers, supporting increased connectivity and economic activity between the two nations.
