New Leadership at Dreamscape Hospitality

Dreamscape Hospitality, a Dallas-based hotel management company, announced the promotion of Adam Patenaude to President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment, effective as of 13 October 2026, recognises Mr. Patenaude's leadership during his two and a half years as President.

During this period, he guided the company through a significant growth phase, consistently surpassing performance targets. The firm's chairman, Eric Birnbaum, stated that Mr. Patenaude's contributions have been vital to Dreamscape Hospitality's achievements since its inception, particularly in fostering strong relationships with property owners and partners.

Portfolio Growth and Brand Diversity

Under Mr. Patenaude’s direction, Dreamscape Hospitality has substantially expanded its operational footprint. By the close of its second full year managing hotels, the company’s portfolio is set to encompass more than 40 properties. These hotels operate under 13 distinct brands, including major international names such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG.

Additionally, the portfolio incorporates numerous independent and boutique establishments, showcasing a diverse management approach. The company also indicated future plans to broaden its national presence by entering new markets across the United States.

Strategy for Continued Expansion

Eric Birnbaum, chairman of Dreamscape Companies, commended Mr. Patenaude's ability to drive growth at an impressive pace, especially noting that this expansion was rooted in robust relationships with owners and partners.

Mr. Birnbaum highlighted that the foundation established by Mr. Patenaude will enable Dreamscape Hospitality to pursue strategic expansion, uphold its standards of excellence, and deliver value for its partners.

Mr. Patenaude, in turn, attributed the company’s success to the strength of its team and an owner-first philosophy, emphasising that growth extends beyond mere numbers to building an organisation capable of consistently delivering exceptional results.

Implications for Asian Hospitality Markets

While Dreamscape Hospitality's immediate expansion plans target new markets within the United States, the strategic approach to portfolio growth and owner engagement demonstrated by Mr. Patenaude holds relevance for Asia's dynamic hospitality sector.

Asian hotel management companies, such as those under the Ascott Limited or Banyan Tree Holdings, frequently navigate similar challenges in expanding their footprint across diverse regional markets while maintaining strong relationships with property owners.

Lessons from successful, rapid expansion built on specific operational models in a mature market like the US could inform growth strategies for Asian groups, particularly as they look to consolidate or enter new territories within the continent.
