Lemon Tree Hotels Expands Mumbai Presence with New Bandra Property
India's Lemon Tree Hotels, through its subsidiary Fleur Hotels, has secured land in Mumbai's Bandra East for a new Lemon Tree Premier establishment featuring 172 rooms.

Land Secured for Lemon Tree Premier in Mumbai
India’s Lemon Tree Hotels announced on 28 September 2026 that its material subsidiary, Fleur Hotels, has acquired land in Bandra (East), Mumbai, Maharashtra. This acquisition paves the way for the development of a new hotel operating under the upscale “Lemon Tree Premier” brand.
The planned property, situated along the Western Express Highway and adjacent to the prominent Bandra Kurla Complex, will mark a significant expansion for the group within India’s commercial capital.
This strategic move aims to cater to a diverse clientele, including business travellers, the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector, as well as leisure and social guests visiting the city.
New Hotel to Offer 172 Rooms and Modern Amenities
The upcoming Lemon Tree Premier hotel in Bandra is projected to feature approximately 172 rooms, comprising both modern rooms and suites. Designed as an upscale, full-service establishment, it will provide a range of amenities tailored for both short and extended stays. Guests can expect an all-day dining venue, a well-equipped fitness centre, and a swimming pool.
The development is intended to meet the rising demand for quality accommodation and services from various market segments within Mumbai, reinforcing Lemon Tree Hotels’ commitment to strengthening its presence in key urban centres across India.
Seventh Mumbai Property for Lemon Tree Hotels
This new development will become Lemon Tree Hotels’ seventh property in Mumbai and its first in the Bandra micro-market. Neelendra Singh, Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels, stated that the expansion aligns with the company’s strategy of building cluster-level market density in high-yield, distinct micro-markets like Mumbai.
Mr Singh highlighted that the upcoming Lemon Tree Premier, Bandra, Mumbai, is strategically positioned to bridge crucial business corridors such as the Bandra Kurla Complex with the vibrant social hub of Bandra. He added that this land acquisition reflects a deliberate focus on securing high-impact urban sites to expand the group’s premium footprint in top-tier markets.
Implications for Mumbai's Hospitality Sector
The addition of a 172-room Lemon Tree Premier in Bandra will intensify competition within Mumbai's hospitality sector, particularly for hotels catering to corporate and MICE segments in the Bandra Kurla Complex area.
Travellers seeking premium accommodation in this key commercial and social hub will gain a new option, potentially influencing pricing and service standards across the market.
This expansion follows Lemon Tree Hotels’ recent opening of Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels in Nashik earlier this month, a 48-key property also in Maharashtra, indicating a broader strategy of consistent growth within India. The company's focus on prime urban locations suggests continued investment in high-demand Asian markets.
