Enhanced Corporate Travel Platform

Marriott International has expanded its partnership with Spotnana, a cloud-based travel technology provider, through a new direct integration announced on 10 September 2026. This collaboration aims to change how business travellers search for, book, and manage hotel stays.

The primary goal is to simplify the reservation and management process for corporate clients, including the introduction of verified loyalty linking with Marriott Bonvoy accounts.

Shannon Patterson, Marriott’s Chief Commercial Performance Officer, stated that the integration enables customers to "better support their travelers and manage spend" while providing "innovative technologies that simplify the travel experience."

Direct System Connectivity and Traveller Benefits

The new integration connects Spotnana directly to Marriott’s central reservation system. This technical link facilitates real-time access to hotel rates and room availability, along with up-to-date details on rooms and amenities, all sourced from Marriott's own channels. Corporate negotiated rates are also accessible for booking through the Spotnana platform.

A key feature is the ability for travellers to modify or cancel reservations directly within Spotnana without requiring agent assistance. Travel agents can also manage service requests through Spotnana’s integrated desktop interface.

Loyalty Programme Integration

Spotnana is the first corporate booking technology company to offer verified loyalty linking with Marriott Bonvoy, according to Marriott International. This authenticated account linking allows travellers to connect their Bonvoy loyalty profile to their Spotnana account.

The technology then identifies Marriott Bonvoy status and Marriott Bonvoy credit card holders, displaying current points balances. This expanded partnership builds on an existing relationship; in 2024, Marriott launched Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy, an online programme powered by Spotnana, designed to streamline travel management for small- to medium-sized businesses.

Hillary Dallas, Head of Global Travel and Events at Amazon, commented that the integration provides "clear visibility into negotiated rates, loyalty benefits and self-service tools," making trip management more efficient.

Implications for Asian Corporate Travel

This development by Marriott and Spotnana shows a growing trend among major hotel groups to enhance corporate booking capabilities. Competitors like Hilton, with Hilton for Business, and Omni Hotels & Resorts, with Omni Select Business, have similarly bolstered their offerings for business travel buyers in recent years.

For corporate travel managers and business travellers across Asia, this integration means improved access to real-time information, streamlined booking processes, and direct loyalty benefits.

As multinational corporations with a presence in Asia increasingly seek efficiency in their travel programmes, the ability to manage bookings and Bonvoy points through a single platform could drive higher adoption of Marriott properties for business stays in key Asian markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
