Nammos Resort AMAALA Opens 9 September
Nammos Hotels & Resorts officially opened its first global resort, Nammos Resort AMAALA, on 9 September 2026. Located at Triple Bay on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, this marks the brand's inaugural resort property worldwide and its first venture into the Middle East.
The ultra-luxury development comprises 110 hotel keys and 20 private residences, introducing a distinctive hospitality concept to the region. The resort is part of the larger AMAALA development, a new destination designed to draw high-end travellers to Saudi Arabia's western shoreline. Its opening is a significant step in the ongoing expansion of luxury travel infrastructure in the kingdom.
Mykonos-Inspired Luxury and Hospitality
The Nammos Resort AMAALA is designed to blend private luxury with the energetic social scene for which the Nammos brand is known, drawing inspiration from its Mykonos origins.
Carolyn Turnbull, CEO of Nammos Hotels & Resorts, stated that the opening represents a new chapter for the brand, reimagining its established reputation for exceptional hospitality and distinctive energy into a complete resort environment.
Accommodation options include a range of rooms, suites, pool bungalows, and villas, all crafted to provide a balance of seclusion and engagement. The resort aims to offer a unique blend of Mediterranean glamour and Arabian coastal allure.
Diverse Dining and Wellbeing Programmes
Guests at Nammos Resort AMAALA can access a variety of dining and social spaces. The Nammos Beach Club, situated on its own private island and reachable by boardwalk or private jetty, offers an infinity pool, cabanas, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with views of the Red Sea.
Beyond the signature Nammos experience, the resort features Nalu, a restaurant combining Latin American flavours with Asian influences, and Ilios, a Mediterranean restaurant and bar that hosts visiting chefs and pop-up events.
The Nammos Spa introduces a “Boundless Wellbeing” philosophy, offering services such as late-night sound healing, spa parties, soundscape beats, and advanced skin-health treatments, alongside more traditional wellness options.
Expands AMAALA's Luxury Offerings
The addition of Nammos Resort AMAALA expands the luxury hospitality offerings within the AMAALA development, which already includes properties from brands such as Four Seasons and Rosewood.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, noted that the Nammos resort strengthens the diversity of experiences available across the destination, bringing the distinct energy and spirit associated with Mykonos to the Saudi Red Sea coast.
This strategic opening is part of a broader effort to establish AMAALA as a premier ultra-luxury destination, attracting a global clientele to its unique coastal environment and curated resort experiences.
Implications for Asian Luxury Travel
For Asian luxury travel agencies, particularly those catering to high-net-worth individuals in markets like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan, the opening of Nammos Resort AMAALA presents a new destination for consideration.
These operators should begin to include AMAALA in their destination portfolios, anticipating new tour operator packages emerging for the Red Sea coast as more resorts open through 2027.
Proactive engagement with Red Sea Global for partnership opportunities will be essential for Asian travel companies aiming to capitalise on the developing luxury tourism sector in Saudi Arabia and cater to a growing demand for exclusive Middle Eastern travel experiences.
