Robinsons Land Expands Fili Luxury Hotel Brand to Metro Manila
The new Fili property is scheduled to open in Bridgetowne in 2027, marking the second location for the Philippines' homegrown five-star hotel brand.

Fili Brand to Open in Bridgetowne by 2027
Robinsons Land Corp. announced plans to introduce its Fili luxury hotel brand to Metro Manila, with an opening anticipated in Bridgetowne by 2027. This expansion marks the second property for the Fili brand, following its inaugural establishment at the NUSTAR Integrated Resort in Cebu.
According to Robinsons Land, the launch of Fili nearly five years ago represented a significant move to create the Philippines' first homegrown five-star hotel brand developed by a Filipino real estate company.
Mybelle Aragon-GoBio, President and CEO of Robinsons Land, stated that the brand's recent recognition by the World Travel Awards, alongside Robinsons Hotels and Resorts' (RHR) second consecutive win as the Philippines’ Leading Hotel Group, confirms the potential of Filipino talent in delivering world-class luxury hospitality.
Defining Filipino Luxury Hospitality
Fili is presented by RHR, the hospitality division of Robinsons Land, as a five-star hotel brand that integrates local art, craftsmanship, and elements of Philippine history into its design and guest offerings. The company aims for the Fili brand to bring a distinct character of Philippine hospitality into the luxury segment, extending its presence beyond Cebu.
RHR Senior Vice President Barun Jolly noted that the group’s extensive network and operational expertise provide a strong foundation for the continued expansion of its hospitality brands across the nation. This approach seeks to cater to discerning travellers looking for an authentic cultural connection during their stays.
Robinsons Hotels and Resorts' Broad Portfolio
Robinsons Hotels and Resorts currently manages a substantial portfolio comprising 27 owned hotel properties, which together offer more than 4,000 room keys. These properties operate under 10 distinct brands, spanning luxury and upscale categories to midscale and essential-value accommodations.
The group maintains a presence in 20 locations nationwide, including key Philippine destinations such as Tagaytay, Cebu, General Santos, and Davao. Its wider network also extends to cities like Iligan, Butuan, Bacolod, Iloilo, Dumaguete, and Tacloban.
This extensive reach supports Robinsons Land's ongoing strategy to develop its hospitality offerings, which also includes properties like The Westin Manila and NUSTAR Hotel Cebu.
Impact on Philippine Luxury Travel
This expansion by Robinsons Land Corp. will introduce a new luxury accommodation option for travellers visiting Metro Manila from 2027. The Fili brand's focus on local art and Philippine history provides a distinct offering within the city's hospitality market, appealing to guests seeking culturally rich experiences.
For the wider Philippine hospitality sector, the growth of a homegrown five-star brand, particularly one recognised internationally, reinforces the country's capacity to develop world-class luxury services.
This move also intensifies competition within Metro Manila's upscale hotel segment, prompting other operators to consider unique cultural integration in their offerings to attract a growing segment of sophisticated travellers.
