Tall Ship Adventures has launched a new "dine-and-sail" experience aboard the Royal Albatross, allowing guests to combine a three-course lunch with a speedboat journey through Singapore’s Southern Islands. This new offering, operating as the Albatross Island Restaurant (AIR), provides a daytime dining option that complements the ship's existing evening sunset dinner cruises.
The service gives travellers access to popular Southern Islands, including Lazarus, St John's, and Kusu, integrating a unique culinary event with island exploration. The Royal Albatross is anchored off Lazarus Island, serving as a distinctive hospitality venue for this new venture, which began services around 9 September 2026.
Culinary Focus and Venue Details
The Albatross Island Restaurant's lunch menu has been curated by MasterChef Singapore winner Inderpal Singh. Singh developed the menu with families and leisure travellers in mind, drawing inspiration from the region's historical spice routes and diverse local flavours. A vegetarian set menu is also available to cater to various dietary preferences.
This initiative marks a significant expansion for the Royal Albatross, transforming it into a dual-purpose vessel that offers both daytime restaurant services and its established evening cruises, providing a fresh perspective on Singapore's marine tourism landscape.
Integrated Marine Transport Network
To facilitate the new dine-and-sail experience, Albatross Speedboat Adventures (ASA) has commenced daily scheduled hop-on, hop-off services connecting key points on the mainland with the Southern Islands. Guests can board Albatross Speedboats from Marina South Pier, the Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa, or Siloso Beach.
Following their lunch aboard the Royal Albatross, guests have the flexibility to continue exploring neighbouring islands such as St John's Island, Kusu Island, and Sisters' Islands using the same speedboat network. This integrated transport system aims to streamline access to Singapore's offshore attractions.
