Klook and Visa Forge Southeast Asia Travel Partnership
The collaboration targets six markets, integrating Klook's offerings into Visa Destinations and launching creator programmes to support trip planning.

Southeast Asia Partnership Announced
Klook, a travel activities and services platform, and payment technology firm Visa have formally entered a partnership focused on six Southeast Asian markets. The agreement, announced on 24 September 2026, covers Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Under the terms, Klook will integrate its offerings into Visa Destinations, Visa’s dedicated travel platform, and the companies will jointly undertake marketing and promotional initiatives. The collaboration aims to deliver cardholder offers and expand travel experiences, alongside developing creator programmes to inspire and facilitate travel bookings across the region.
Experience-Led Travel Drives Collaboration
The partnership is motivated by research from both companies indicating a growing preference among travellers for experience-based trip planning. Visa’s 2026 Global Travel Intentions study revealed that 37 per cent of Asia-Pacific respondents organise their trips around local activities, a figure higher than the 29 per cent global average.
Similarly, Klook’s Travel Pulse 2026 survey found that over half of Asia-Pacific travellers surveyed do not begin their planning with a set destination. Instead, 23 per cent reported starting with a specific activity before deciding on their travel location, highlighting a shift in how trips are conceived.
Creator Programmes to Expand Reach
A central component of the new agreement involves establishing a creator framework throughout Southeast Asia. This initiative will see affiliate links from Visa-affiliated content creators hosted on Klook’s Kreator Shops, the company’s dedicated storefronts for travel content creators, which were revamped in August 2026.
Klook's existing Kreator Programme already includes more than 30,000 travel content creators operating across 88 markets. This expansion aims to harness the growing influence of digital content creators in shaping travel choices, providing travellers with immediate booking options directly from recommendations.
Outlook for Regional Travel Bookings
For travellers in the six identified Southeast Asian markets, this partnership promises a more integrated approach to discovering and booking local activities and services through Visa’s channels. The collaboration should enhance the reach of Klook’s extensive network of travel offerings by leveraging Visa’s broad cardholder base.
The focus on creator-driven content and direct booking links is expected to streamline the travel planning process, potentially driving an increase in bookings for local experiences across the region as more travellers act on recommendations immediately. This move builds on Klook’s existing network of over 30,000 content creators.
