Outdoor Advertising Initiative in Singapore

The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) initiated a comprehensive outdoor advertising campaign in Singapore this September 2026, as announced in a PR Newswire Asia release on 22 September 2026. This initiative aims to present a fresh perspective of Taiwan to Singaporean travellers.

The campaign, titled “Taiwan 100 Ways!”, features vibrant artworks created in collaboration with Singapore-born artist and illustrator Tiffany Lovage. These illustrations are prominently displayed across Singapore’s public transport network, including buses, taxis, and MRT stations, transforming everyday commutes into visual invitations to explore Taiwan.

Themes and Featured Activities

Tiffany Lovage’s artwork draws inspiration from three core themes: Ecology, LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), and Food. Her illustrations capture various facets of Taiwan, from its mountain ranges and coastlines to opportunities for outdoor adventures, distinctive local flavours, and more leisurely travel styles.

The campaign highlights diverse activities such as hot-air ballooning, diving, and surfing. It also showcases scenic rail journeys aboard Taiwan Railway’s new HAIFENG and SHANLAN tourism trains.

The TTA’s objective, as stated in the PR Newswire Asia release, is to encourage visitors to look beyond well-known attractions and delve into Taiwan’s central and southern regions, promoting longer stays and engagement with local communities.

Targeting Repeat Singaporean Visitors

Singapore remains a crucial inbound visitor market for Taiwan within Asia. The Taiwan Tourism Administration reported, via the 22 September 2026 PR Newswire Asia release, that Taiwan welcomed approximately 1.35 million visitors from Singapore between 2023 and 2025, demonstrating consistent travel demand.

To further engage Singaporean travellers, especially those who have previously visited the island, the TTA is offering various prizes and redemption methods. Travellers who have visited Taiwan within the past three years are eligible to participate in these incentives.

Additionally, the campaign includes an online travel personality quiz, allowing participants to discover their ideal Taiwan travel style and potentially win exclusive prizes, such as a limited-edition Taiwan taxi hanging charm featuring the campaign artwork and a return air ticket from Singapore to Taiwan.

Sustaining Travel Demand and Regional Exploration

This focused campaign by the Taiwan Tourism Administration aims to sustain and enhance visitor numbers from Singapore, particularly by encouraging repeat visits and broader exploration of the island.

By highlighting diverse activities and lesser-known regions, the TTA seeks to shift travel patterns towards deeper engagement with Taiwan’s landscapes and local cultures, as detailed in the PR Newswire Asia release. Travellers from Singapore can anticipate continued promotional efforts and specific offers designed to encourage return trips and varied itineraries.

This strategy could lead to a more even distribution of tourism benefits across Taiwan, moving beyond its major urban centres and popular northern attractions.
